Ingredients:
6 single chicken breasts cooked
6 slices ham, cooked
6 slices swiss cheese
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp thyme
1 egg, beaten
1 3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 tsp butter, melted
Instructions:
In a greased 8x8 inch baking pan, arrange a layer of chicken, top
with a layer of ham, then a layer of cheese. To prepare sauce, melt 4
tablespoons butter, and add flour and thyme. Combine egg and milk,
and add slowly to flour mixture. Continue cooking, stirring
constantly, until smooth and thickened. Pour over chicken. Combine 2
teaspoons melted butter and dry breadcrumbs. Spread over sauce.
Bake at 350øF for 30 minutes, or until heated through. Makes 6
